Notes:
For image processing, two channels of a general purpose two dimensional
FIR filters with a 12 by 12 mask and 12 bit resolution fit in a single
FPGA device and can process 60 1024x1024 video frames per second.
Video conferencing will be make more practical by new wavelet based
video compression algorithms that map efficiently into FPGAs.
