What Software Do I Need for CPLD Design/Implementation?
We offer four main suites of software for your CPLD design flow :
        Foundation, Alliance,
        WebPack, and Webfitter.
Foundation contains everything that you need for either a FPGA or a CPLD
design. It comes with FPGA Express synthesis software as well as a schematic
entry platform. It contains a logic simulator and software for downloading
to your Xilinx device in-system. For more details on the Foundation package,
        please click here.
The Alliance software package assumes that you have a design entry package
from another vendor, and provides the tools to map your logic to a Xilinx
FPGA or CPLD. It also comes with software to download your design into
your Xilinx device in-system. For more details on the Alliance package,
        please click here.
WebPack is a suite of software bundles that you may download incrementally.
You may enter your design in VHDL or Verilog or ABEL, synthesize for 9500
or CoolRunner and then fit the design and download it to your device.
WebPack offers all of this for free. For more details on WebPack, please
Webfitter is designed for the customer who wants to try out software
with the least amount of hassle. Webfitter is a Xilinx website that takes
in a design file (VHDL, Verilog, ABEL, EDN, XNF) and will fit it to a
Xilinx CPLD of your choice.  Within minutes the results of your fit,
including JEDEC, will be returned to you free of charge! For more details
        on Webfitter, please click here.
