When you create a design in Capture, all schematic information defined therein, is recognized as being part of that project. When you open the design, all such data is automatically associated with it.
To open an existing design
- From the File menu, choose the Open command. The standard Open dialog box displays.
- If the design is not in the current folder, use the Look in drop-down list to navigate to the design folder.
- In the Files of type drop-down list, select Capture Design (*.dsn).
- Select the design from the files and folder list or enter the name of the design in the File name text box and click OK.
You can use the standard * (asterisk) or ? wildcard characters when typing in the File name text box.
The design opens in a Project manager window.

To open a recently used project
From the File menu, choose the project either by name or by number. The project opens in a project manager window.
Important
The Select Project Type dialog box opens if you open a design in Capture that does not have an associated project. You then select the simulation option and Capture creates the corresponding project file (.opj).
