Updating TI Library and PSpice for TI Software

On launching Capture for TI, the tool notifies you of any updates in the TI library or in the PSpice for TI software.

The TI library update is of two types:

Major (mandatory update)
These includes major updates applicable for the complete library and is recommended to fix any problems in library. This is a mandatory update that must be installed.
Minor
These are minor updates, which may include updating only a few library models. For example, version updates for models or addition of new models. The number of libraries that are updated is also notified to the user.

For both these updates, you see a message box indicating that updates are available. Click Yes to start the update process.

If the PSpice for TI software updates are available, then on starting PSpice for TI, the tool notifies you.

You can reinstall TI libraries using the following steps:

Choose Help – Reinstall TI Models and Libraries.
A notification appears to indicate that PSpice for TI must restart to complete the reinstallation of libraries. It also indicates what happens when you select one of the following options:
- Clicking Reinstall Now closes the notification dialog box and also PSpice for TI. You may be prompted to save your work to proceed with the close operation. If the close operation is aborted, the library reinstallation is done at the next invocation of PSpice for TI. Restart PSpice for TI to complete the installation.
- Clicking Schedule for Later allows you to continue your work. When you close the application and restart PSpice for TI, reinstallation of libraries is completed.
