Greetings ITC Techies, I've completed a number of updates to the pipes chapter of Brian's newly re-organized working document. I will send Brian the updated word document which he can post on the web site. I will also attempt to send it to the reflector in a separate e-mailing as a compressed .zip file (but results not guaranteed !). All changes since the last FrameMaker version of this document (revision 1.11) have been shown with Word tracking highlights. Here's a summary of my updates: - Clean up formating from Brian's conversion from FrameMaker (there were a lot of polluted formats that needed to be removed). - I have incorporated the changes to restrict the pipe_id space by allowing to be a user specifiable static value on the hardware side as described in this e-mail: http://www.verilog.org/itc/hm/0920.html This will allow tighter control of pipe ID values - a concern raised by Jason. - Separated out section on flushing semantics, eom auto-flush. Added clarifications from Shabtay's object pipes proposal. - Added a number of minor corrections -- johnS This email may contain material that is confidential, privileged and/or attorney work product for the sole use of the intended recipient.
