RE: $fopen/$fclose

One of the big things that kept my customers on SpectreHDL was the lack
of $fread, $fscanf, etc..
once AMS Designer supported the 2001 stuff in the discrete context I
used that for the Mixed signal stuff but for Design Verification, and
custom sources (ie read data from matlab etc as a source I ALSO want the
Analog Subset to support these... its a bit different in the compact
modeling though)

Jonathan -
I hadn't noticed the omission of MODE for opening a file.
The AMS LRM is somewhat vague about what mode is used:
you get an error if the file can't be opened for writing,
so I guess that means the mode in AMS is "w" (not "a") --
but this should be noted explicitly.

I had noticed the omission of $fwrite, etc. while I was
doing LRM 2.2, but thought that these would get added to
LRM 2.3 when aligning with 1364-2001. (And this wasn't
a compact modeling issue, so it wasn't mine to fix.)
