[Shalom] What are you referring to? Do you mean the following:

"The underscore character is legal anywhere in a real constant except
as the first character of the constant or the first character after the
decimal point." ?

If so, that restriction does exist in 1364-2005. It is just a result of
the BNF, but not explicitly written in the text.

By the way, what version of 1364-2005 do you have?
