Date: 13 March 2008 Attendees: Marq Kole, NXP Dave Miller, Freescale Martin O'Leary, Cadence Dave Cronauer, Synopsys David Sharitt, Tiburon Stu Sutherland, Sutherland HDL Sri Chandra, Freescale Mantis items: ============= * Owners, authors, please have a look at your assigned mantis items and move them to resolved if its been addressed/reviewed in the draft version 2 or earlier. * Any typo minor items that needs fixing (and got overlooked during chapter edits) please assign to Stu (user name stuart in Mantis) and ensure the new text is noted as part of the mantis item. Time zones for calls in US summer: ================================== * We will go back to the timezones we followed last year. ie. 6:30am in US Pacific. Will send out full details of all different participating time zones. * This will be in effect from the 1st week of April as Europe and Asia-Pac havent yet changed the clock. Next two meetings (20th and 27th) will be 10:00pm Pacific. LRM2.3 draft3: ============== * Stu will post the new draft version the coming week. We will start reviewing this on the meeting on 20th March. Post LRM2.3: ============ * Plan is to get LRM2.3 released as soon as possible with minimal changes from where we are at this point. Expect possibly another draft (draft4) after the current version which should almost be release ready. * Given that there are some key open items on the mixed-signal side, Marq proposed have two committees looking at the two threads - mixed signal issues, system verilog integration as part of P1800 dot standard. * In general, there was overall consensus to this proposal based on today's feedback and also based on feedback Marq had received. This will help two problems to be worked on in parallel, and there can be separate time lines. Where a particular issue has been addressed in SV, we will take that approach. * Marq will send out an email to the AMS reflector seeking feedback on which committee members will be interested post LRM2.3. Hopefully there will be enough volunteers to cover both areas. * Need more cross involvement with SV committee. Stu mentioned that "cross" is also a keyword in SV. But looks like this may not be a problem as 'cross' in AMS is an event that can be used only inside analog behavioral context and hence parsers can differentiate based on the context. Dave Miller is also going to check and confirm this looking at SV LRM. * There is a sub-committee under SV which is currently proposing to add 20 new keywords to the language. Stu is planning to send out the AMS keywords list to avoid new conflicts between the languages.
