Licensing

• Existing customers can interact with the Web license tool and receive a license with immediate turnaround.

  To generate a license through the Web, the following information is required:

  9-Digit End User ID Number (example, 1234-01-01-A). For existing customers, this is located on the shipping box label.

  Product Serial Number. This is located on the shipping box label and/or registration card. Update products do not include a registraton card or a serial number.

  Product Type. Example, DS-ALI-STD-PC.

• New customers can register their software and receive a license by calling a Xilinx customer service representative.

Windows 95 or NT User

          set XILINX=C:\Xilinx
          set LM_LICENSE_FILE=C:\FLEXLM\license.dat
          set PATH=C:\Xilinx\bin\nt;%PATH%

The settings in the above example are Xilinx recommended and are the deafult options presented to the install program. You may change these settings to correspond to your own directory structure. Consult the Alliance series vM1.x Install and Release document for more specific details about installation.
 

Workstation User

          setenv XILINX /tools/XilinxM1
          setenv LM_LICENSE_FILE ${LM_LICENSE_FILE}:/usr/local/data/license/license.dat
          setenv LD_LIBRARY_PATH ${LD_LIBRARY_PATH}:${XILINX}/bin/sun
          set path ($path $XILINX/bin/sun )

          # LD_LIBRARY_PATH: For HP-UX 10.x, use SHLIB_PATH variable instead.

Also, if you are running the tools under HP-UX or SunOS 5..x, please substitute hp or sol for sun where appropriate.
