The Xilinx Design Series Story

Xilinx, Inc., the world's leading supplier of programmable logic solutions, and Prentice Hall, the premier publisher of engineering books and software for the academic market, have partnered to produce the Xilinx Design Series. 

The Xilinx Design Series is a library of text and lab books covering such topics as Combinational Logic Design,  Sequential Logic Design, Synchronous Design with State Machines, Hardware Description Languages - HDL (Abel, VHDL, Verilog) State Machines, Microcontrollers and many others. 

The series will contain books designed for both graduate and undergraduate courses in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technologies, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Organization and Architecture, Digital Design,  Advanced Digital Logic, Computer Architecture,  just to name a few. 
 
Every book in the series contain the Xilinx Student Edition Software  for Microsoft Windows 95 and Windows NT operating systems. 

Currently there are two titles available, two more titles scheduled for a Summer '99 release with several other titles coming.  All books in the Xilinx Design Series are published by Prentice Hall and will be available through Amazon.com, Barns & Noble, Computer Literacy, and were every Prentice Hall academic engineering books are sold.

To receive your Graduation Gift, you must meet these criteria: 

  1. Your Xilinx Student Edition Software serial number must be registered under your name. The gift is not transferable to another individual.
  2. 6 months must elapse from the time you first register your Student Edition software.
  3. You have started working at a job at a commercial company which is not an academic institution. 
Once you meet these three criteria, Xilinx encourages you to come back here to sign up to receive your graduation gift
