Citywest has been selected as the location for Ireland's National Digital Park.  The Park has been designed to meet the needs of companies with very heavy data transfer requirements. Broadband data transmission facilities will be available to all occupants of Citywest. These will have an initial capacity of 155 megabits/s rising to 622 megabits/s in the short term. In addition, the network will be resilient with the objective of providing a fail-safe data transmission facility for companies in the event of a breakage in their primary network. Three different telecommunications providers will service the Digital Park providing both choice and competition for occupiers.

Additionally, Citywest has been selected as the location for Dublin's Science, Technology and Innovation Centre. This provides world class suites and facilities for high technology, knowledge based start-up firms. It also acts as a centre for technology transfer to and from firms in the vicinity and the universities.  Entrepreneurial firms with high growth products and potential for global presence in the infomatics and associated health sciences sectors are being attracted to the centre.
