Forge is being developed as a 100% pure Java application and will be available on any platform which supports Java2, however potential differences in JDK compilers and Java runtime environments constrains the platforms for which we can certify reliable operation.

The following requirements reflect our current target platform: Sun's Solaris with JDK1.2 or better.
