Hello SV-CC committee members,

As you have seen an announcement from Vassilios, I have accepted
the invitation to participate on this committee and provide the
leadership.
In last few days I have had several interactions with Vassilios and
Ghassan
to come up to speed on their expectations of the committee and my role,
as well as current status. I hope to do the same with many of you over
next several days by phone or email.

I have seen the "Requirements" document from Andrzej Litwiniuk.
In order to keep the ball rolling, I would like to suggest that we get
some of the discussions, questions, comments and critics going before
the Tuesday (8/6) call. I hope these discussions will be stimulating
enough that key agreements can be made quickly during the call and time
can be utilized most efficiently.

I would also like to encourage all the participants to make
their
voice(s) heard through these discussions and submit their proposals so
we have more than one candidates to evaluate. I think this is one of the
strengths of Accelera - to leverage one or more existing products
towards
creation of a standard. I hope to see two or three proposals so we can
debate the merits of each, leading to a broadly acceptable standard.

For those of you who may not be familiar with my current
affiliation,
just a quick note to let you know that I will be leaving Intrinsix as of
8/31/02 and go back to my status as an independent consultant. You can
reach me at: (408) 761-0262 or trivedi@pacbell.net.

Looking forward to everyone's participation on Tuesday, Aug 6.
I will attempt to put forward an agenda based on discussions on the
requirements
over next few days. In the meantime, if you have any questions or
concerns
about the mechanics of the committee, please contact me directly.

Regards

Yatin
