Indeed. However we need something to start with (or nothing will get done). Once we have a basic shell, everybody can contribute.

Yes, but sometimes it is better to start from scratch or at least from requirements.

My understanding is Accellera's approach is in a nutshell: pick from donations, modify (on or more) donation(s), OR do nothing. So in this case our choices are limited. So "a vote of no, is a vote for doing nothing" would've been my campaign slogan :-)!!

Anyway it's a moot point, now. If the vote passes hope we can all contribute, if not then we can bin it for later I guess.
