Swapnajit,
There are quite a few open items left in our DirectC discussions.
These were on previous agendas and we couldn't get to them.
In case we haven't finished these up in time for the 12/03/02 meeting
(highly likely given the Thanksgiving Holidays), here is a partial list:
a) Further debate on John/Joao/Kevin's context-sensitive binding.
How can we get closure on that? I suggest one of two ways:
- John/Joao get together with Kevin off-line and iron out a proposal
- John/Joao make one proposal, Kevin makes another, we all vote and
choose on.
b) The external model stuff I was asked to do at the last face-to-face
still hasn't been discussed.
c) We need to conclude the Direct vs. Abstract C API issue that has
been on the email. You still haven't responded to my request for
deciding how to proceed. I would like to see a formal vote on
proposed methods a), b), c), and then we can get to work off-line
and on email. Until this is decided, no one will be able to do
a 17-points document for the C side of the API.
It would be particularly excellent if someone could start up
a 17-points for the C side. The 17MPG figure may vary with
usage, of course :)
Thanks and regards,
Doug
