Subject: [sv-cc] Re: FW: Invitation to the SV-CC LRM Voting process

Jay,
The intention behind keeping the ballot secret was to minimize
any discussion on the voting itself during the voting process
and to honor privacy of any voting member during this phase.
The result and the votes by individual member will be made
public at the end of the voting process anyway. So the ballot
is not that secret.
If you (or any member you have already voted) would like to
make your company vote publicly known before the voting process
ends, you are welcome to send it to the sv-cc reflector.
However, if any voting member wants to keep their ballot secret
until the announcement of the result, I will honor that.
Please let me know if you have any question.
Regards,
- Swapnajit.

Swapnajit,
As the currently eligible voting member from Cadence, Francoise received
the following message from you on the sv-cc voting procedures on
forwarding the LRM to the Board Of Directors. As I am coordinating all
of Cadence's technical participation she passed it on to me. As you
know, we are eligible to vote in all committee. The other 3 committees
are holding open votes on the reflector. We see no reason why this
should not be the case in the sv-cc as well.
Do you have specific reasons why you would like this to be a "secret"
ballot?
We believe openness at this critical phase is much more appropriate and
intend to forward our ballot in each committee to the corresponding
reflector.
Sincerely,
Jay Lawrence
