Michael,

the tool I use, Poseidon UML (www.gentelware.com), knows how to do this itself.
The main issue we're exploring is what Framemaker does with these SVG diagrams
when it loads them. The attempts by David Smith appear to indicate that Frame
converts SVG diagrams to bitmaps during the import process, defeating the purpose.

Basically what we're trying to avoid is the low-quality diagrams that have
appeared in some of the VHPI drafts, where some of the diagrams are not
legible.
