Subject: [sv-cc] Some thoughts on the tasks ahead, open issues and deadlines

Team,
Well, this should not come as a surprise to any of us that
in spite of making good progress in last several months,
unfortunately, we are late.
The official date for wrapping up technical works was 12/1,
but we (or any other committee) have not made it. The current
plan is to complete the technical works by 12/19. This
is the latest we can go in order to deliver the LRM to the
Accellera board by 01/24/04.
When obviously this will not be an easy one, I think it is
possible for us to meet this deadline with help from all of
you. Of the outstanding items:
- Reader is making good progress and we will be very
close by next Monday's rev and possibly a final one by the
middle of the next week. I request help from Francoise and
Bassam to make it happen.
- The 12/15 rev of VPI will integrate the comments
of Francoise/Charles/Joao/Avinash and after a week's review
by all of us (including Debi of Mentor), we can probably make
it.
- There are few smaller issues with errata. Let's close
them during Wednesday's meeting.
Once again, with your help on this, I think we can make
it during these cruch hours. Thanks for your hard work so
far and please keep it up and close the remaining open
issues. Do not hesitate to contact me or Ghassan if we can
help you any way.
