This issue relates to IEEE 1364 27.18

It says,

27.18 vpi_handle_by_multi_index()

In table:
REPLACE Handle to an object of type vpiRegBit, vpiNetBit, vpiRegWord, or
vpiNetWord
WITH Handle to an object of type vpiRegBit, vpiNetBit, vpiReg, or vpiNet

The problem is that this issue is out of date.

1364 PTF errata/398 included the following change:

CHANGE the Returns description:
        Handle to an object of type vpiRegBit, vpiNetBit,
        vpiRegWord, or vpiNetWord
        TO:
        Handle to an object

And that is what is in P1364-2005/D4.

I believe you should cancel this issue.
