1.  Reviewed Patent information.

   - Chas reviewed the patent information.


2.  Reviewed minutes of the 07/19/2006 Meeting.

   Change sentence "Doesn't support arrays/dynamic objs." to
   "VCD doesn't support arrays/dynamic objs."

   - Ralph/Abi.  ACCEPTED (unanimous) as modified.


3.  Liaisons

   - Francoise to report on PASSED SV-BC items
     Francoise did not make a report.
   - PAR has been approved.
   - No one reported on other meetings


4.  New business

   - Continue discussion on Item 1385

   Started to go over each of Abi's questions.

   Q1.  There are 2 different transitions from reg/variables diagrams:  vpiReg or vpiVarSelect.
   Do they return the same object?  This makes for the possibility of having two different
   handles to the same object.  Similar problem as vpiMemory and vpiRegArray.
   vpi_compare_ojbects() is very ambiguous.  Lengthy discussion on what vpi_compare_objects()
   should be.  Chas suggested that this discussion might need to be taken up in a separate
   meeting due to the amount of time needed.  Francoise suggested that we consider having a
   face to face meeting.  Given that we have a new PAR, it might make sense to kick off the
   process with a face to face meeting.  Everyone to look into the feasibility of having a
   face to face in Sept/Oct timeframe.  Chas will take a poll at the next meeting.


5.  Reviewed of items with proposals.

  - Item 0964  27.31 Assertion -- vpiAssertType should be vpiType
    Abi/Ralph.  PASSED (unanimous)

  - Item 1528 VPI value access not allowed on array regs?
    Friendly amendment to delete second page of proposal.
    JimV/Ralph.  PASSED (unanimous) as modified.  JimV to update proposal.

Steve/Andrez.  Meeting ended at 1:05pm.

   - JimV to look into other things which can have size changes as discussed in 0985.
   - Chas to send everyone the frame docs for the diagrams.
   - Chuck to write a document that describes the possible solutions for the
     compatibility issues, and they're pros and cons.
   - Francoise and Bassam to continue work on assignment patterns.
   - Chas to send Michael a copy of the PAR proposal.
   - Francoise to send VCD recommendation to SV-BC.
   - Everyone to consider whether they can attend a face to face in Sept/Oct timeframe.

   - None.

   The next SV-CC meeting will be on 08/16/2006.
   The next P1800 meeting will be on 08/03/2006.
