Amit reviewed their current top 5 questions. - No other meetings to report. 4. New business - rand issue Ralph reported on several grammar issues. DPI imports and exports cannot appear in class definitions. Could we see formals with rand and randc? Only for a member of a struct or a union. Should also address: can manage to send actuals with rand qualifiers be matched with DPI formals that do not have those qualifiers thru OOMRs. Wants to allow it but ignore them. The latest email attempts to articulate this, and address Francoise and Andrzej's concerns. If people are okay with the language, he will try to put together a proposal to that effect. - No other new business 5. Reviewed items with proposals. - Item 1614 P1800-2005: 27.52 no expr for disable fork objects Jim thinks it is correct. JimV/Chuck. PASSED (unanimous) - Item 1631 P1800-2005 27.14 note k has an error Friendly amendment to change 'vpiType' to 'type'. JimV/Ralph. PASSED (unanimous) as amended. Chas to update proposal. - Item 1664 IEEE 1800-2005 27.7 Note 'e': First sentence should be rewritten JimV asked why they would be ambiguous. Francoise would probably know. JimV eventually answered his own question. JimV/Abi. PASSED (unanimous) - Item 1669 P1800-2005 Sections 27.34 and 27.36 commas are inconsistent Friendly amendment to change 'show' to 'shown'. Bassam asked if these changes would be reflected in the merged diagrams document. Chas said he would update it. Chuck/Ralph. PASSED (unanimous) as amended. Chas to update proposal. - Item 1632 P1800-2005 sections 27.14 note k and 27.22 note f are incompatible Got rid of the one with the value, because it would not have any value to have the value. Abi/Chuck. PASSED (unanimous) - Item 1684 vpiParent clarification needed for complex var/net objects Chuck needs to review Abi's issues with slices. Need to differentiate between parent and scope. Parental relations stays within objects that have a value. Have to be careful with class variable and class objects. Which do you use? Chuck withdraws the proposal for now. - Item 1700 vpiTimeConst and vpiNullConst have the same value Friendly amendment to leave vpiOneStepConst and vpiUnboundedConst alone and just move vpiNullConst to value '11'. Action items - Ongoing review of Michael and Abi's compatibility proposal. - Francoise and Bassam to continue work on assignment patterns. - Francoise to champion adding support for typed parameters to the typespec diagrams. - Abi to champion adding support for parameterized classes. - Abi/JimV to champion improving the ability to compare objects. - Steve Dovich to determine best way to deal with issues between versions of the IEEE specs. - Chas and JimV to update proposals with friendly amendments. 9.
