Hi Charles, There is a conflict between my calendar and the extended SV-CC call time starting at 11:30 am EDT. Extending the call on the other end, to 1:30 PM EDT works for me. However, if the majority of members prefer an 11:30 start then I can join at 12. Thanks, /gjk -----Original Message----- From: owner-sv-cc@eda.org [mailto:owner-sv-cc@eda.org] On Behalf Of Charlie Dawson Sent: Wednesday, May 23, 2007 6:32 PM To: sv-cc@eda.org Subject: [sv-cc] Meeting minutes for 05/23/2007 Minutes of 05/23/2007 SV-CC Meeting. Reviewed Patent information - Chas reviewed the patent information. 1. Pankaj and Anil introduced themselves 2. Reviewed minutes of the 05/09/2007 Meeting - Ralph/JimV. ACCEPTED (unanimous) 3. Liaisons - Francoise talked about an upgrade to Mantis. Dave Rich is driving this. He is going to make it more useful. - The other committees have been trying to figure out how to review the latest LRM. Each committee has broken up the sections to assign to each member of the committee. - The SV-BC has been very active in working on issues such as name resolution. - No other meetings to report on. 4. New business - Action items from Neil on draft 3. Talked about reviewing the cross references. Decided to split it up as follows: Section Reviewer 34 Ralph 35 Abi 36 Chuck 37 Chas 38 Bassam 39 Michael 40 Bassam I Ralph K Michael Chas to take a look for questions from Editor in these sections and either answer them himself or parcel them out to other committee members as appropriate. - Request to SV-BC committee to consider language in the LRM to require implementations to have a mapping file which will bind names to $units objects? Abi moves that we do this. Chuck seconds. ACCEPTED. Chas to send the actual request. - Stu's question on the merged DPI clauses. Ralph and Doug agree with Stu. Chas suggested that the easiest way to deal with this would be to file a mantis item against draft 3 and then create a proposal. Ralph will try to do this for the next meeting. - Chuck's writeup on packed arrays. Chuck suggested that a vpiBaseElement could be added to the Packed Arrays proposal in order to have a vpiReg equivalent method to get the leaf level element from any packed array (and perhaps any unpacked array). This would be more convenient than having to incrementally go through intermediate array levels using vpiElement. Abi commented that this would be yet another way to get elements from an array, totaling now 4 ways and that was too many. JimV questioned whether vpiBaseElement would apply to vpiLogicVar and vpiBitVar. JimV asked what would be returned for the case of an unpacked array with a dynamic sub-array. Chuck replied that both cases should be considered further, and requested input from others be forwarded via email. - Extending the meeting. Abi would prefer adding an extra half hour before the meeting. Ralph is okay with it. So beginning next meeting we will go for 1.5 hours, starting at 11:30am EDT. Motion to adjourn Abi/Micheal. Meeting ended at 1:04pm. 5. Reviewed items with proposals 6. Reviewed SV-CC items with proposals (Straw poll only) 7. Old Business 8.
