Abi thinks that it may require us to see an entire chapter in order to see what it would look like in order to decide if we want to keep it. Bassam thinks most of the changes are editorial in nature, not technical. JimV thinks that we should have trouble seeing the forest for all the trees. John asked how many pages were in the Read API section and how big it would be when done. Bassam thinks it is about 27 pages. Chas to ask the editor that we if we could get the Read API framemaker, or somehow get these done ASAP so we could see the whole thing. Chas thinks we should have a separate meeting. Abi is not interested in that. Francoise and JimV would be willing. Chas suggests we try to have another meeting on it next Wednesday at the usual time. Michael and Abi may not be there. We will conduct business if there is quorum. - Item 1837 - sent back to us from the Champions Chas neglected to update the proposal with the friendly amendment.
