Jason, the reason we haven't "just decided and implemented it"
is that we've chosen to do other things first. As with our day
jobs, we are working with limited resources. We are always
looking for additional volunteers, so if you could find your
way free to join us in the future, we'd be more than happy
to have the extra help. And you could be free to add the
proposal and shepherd it through the process.

Unfortunately, at this point it's too late in the standardization
cycle to get any more proposals into the next released version.
But do consider joining us for the next round.

Regards,
Jim Vellenga

	Hi,

This item is about why the join type isn't handled in the VPI
interface.

I was wondering why this is still open. It's been over 2 years
with no

activity. It seems like the proposed solution would work. Why
not just

	decide and implement it?

	Thanks,
