[sv-cc] RE: Request to review 2494

SV-CC:

As I understand it, the assertion construct that this proposal is extending is kind of
orthogonal to the ordinary hierarchical structure of the rest of the VPI, and so we
can put into it any construct that the SV-AC would like. The iteration is a way of
gathering together constructs either from instances or from the design as a whole
so that you can list information about their types and file locations.

I believe that each of the included constructs can be reached via the usual
hierarchical traversals separately of this iteration, which again emphasizes that
this iteration really has little or no interaction with the rest of the VPI object
model.

If this understanding remains, I will be happy to move our approval of this modification at the next
appropriate meeting of the SV-CC.
