Charlie, SV-CCers-
I would like to discuss a few points of Shalom's list of issues re. 1477 today in our meeting. I need inputs re. the following in particular:
Question: In the changes to 37.28 and 37.29, "ref obj" was replaced by "virtual interface var". However, in 37.27 (page 11), "ref obj" was simply deleted. Is that correct?
Shalom has correctly pointed out an inconsistency between class defn, class typespec, and class obj diagram changes. In 1800-2009, these diagrams currently show vpiInterfaceDecl iterations that produce ref objs (representing virtual interface variables). In my changes for the latter two, I had removed vpiInterfaceDecl and replaced the object type as vpiVirtualInterfaceVar, thus preserving the original iteration to access these objects (vpiInterfaceDecl --> vpiVirtualInterfaceVar) for class typespec and class objs. I had simply removed the iteration completely for class defns, however, leaving an inconsistency.
The choice is:
1) Fix the inconsistency by including the modified vpiVirtualInterfaceVar iteration for class defns (37.27);
-- or --
2) Fix the inconsistency by removing the vpiVirtualInterfaceVar iterations for class typespecs (37.28) and class objs (37.29);
Choice #1 is slightly more compatible w. 1800-2009. However, supporting vpiVirtualInterface iterations in the changes is somewhat redundant, since the vpiVariables iteration would also return these objects in each case.
A third option is to leave the current proposal as-is, but I cannot recall a justification for the inconsistency (it has been some time & many reviews since the original proposal was developed !).

Hi,
Francoise pointed out in http://www.eda.org/sv-cc/hm/4362.html , that there is Champions feedback on Mantis 1477 that should be addressed.
Regards,
Shalom
