Sealevel TTL I/O cards provide 24, 32, 48, and 96 channels of buffered drive digital I/O emulating 8255 mode zero, which can be utilized for PC based control and automation of equipment including sensors, switches, security control systems, and other industrial automation systems. Our PCI cards are designed with compatiblity to legacy 8255 I/O cards in mind. Simply remove your old ISA card and install a Sealevel PCI Digital I/O card. You'll be up and running in no time.
Special factory configurable options include pull up resistors for providing a known state power up condition and a configurable interrupt feature allowing the user to request conditional I/O combinations for interrupt generation. When the I/O combination occurs, a hardware interrupt is triggered. Please request the pull up and conditional interrupt options at the time of purchase. Industry standard Edge and IDC ribbon cables are available in 40 in. lengths for direct connection to solid state relay racks including Grayhill PB-24 and Opto 22 racks. If you need longer or shorter cables, let us know, we'll customize our product to fit your needs.

Our 8002, 8004, and 8006 cards provide optical isolation to protect the PC and other sensitive equipment from spikes and ground loop current that can be generated in industrial environments. See the sample input wiring diagram for an optically isolated input circuit below.

Our 8002, 8003, 8004, and 8007 cards provide reed relay outputs to suit your needs. The reed relay outputs provide high quality, long life, low current (10 Watt maximum), dry contact switch closures. Reed relays are well suited for low current applications. The relays are normally open, and close when energized. Writing a "1" to the proper port bit can individually energize each relay. See the sample relay output wiring diagram for a reed relay output circuit below. Our 8002 and 8004 serve a dual role by providing both inputs and outputs on the same card to support all of your Digital I/O needs.
