By giving you a complete design solution for Xilinx devices, using the industry standard tools with which you are already familiar, the Alliance Series solution, allows you to create designs using a mixture of schematics, High-Level Design Languages (HDL), and predefined modules (intellectual property). And because the Alliance Series works with industry standard interfaces such as EDIF, VITAL, VHDL, Verilog, and SDF, you have complete design flexibility and mixed vendor support as well as design portability and reuse.

Turns Engine 
You can achieve significant device performance improvements (25% or more), with no additional compile time, through the use of the Alliance Series Turns Engine. The Turns Engine uses networked workstations to run multiple place and route passes for a single design and is available with either the Alliance Base or Standard workstation development system.
