Description

Choosing the best software for your applications is an important decision; your success depends on it. And, the best way to compare your options is to try them. That's why we offer the Alliance Series Software Evaluation Kits for the PC, Sun, and HP platforms. The Alliance Series software is a powerful set of easy-to-use tools for designing with Xilinx devices, from our very high density and feature rich FPGAs to our JTAG-compatible In-System Programmable CPLDs.

Here's What You'll Receive

The Alliance Series Evaluation Kit contains the following four CD-ROMs:

Implementation Tools - PC: Contains the Xilinx software tools to run on NT and Windows 95 platforms.
Implementation Tools - WS: Contains the Xilinx software tools to run on HP or Sun workstations.
CAE Interfaces and Libraries: Contains libraries for Viewlogic, Synopsys, Mentor, and Cadence. this CD-ROM is only required if you are using Synopsys, Mentor or Cadence on workstations.
Online Documentation: Contains the Xilinx manuals.

The Kit also contains the following user manuals:

Alliance Quick Start Guide: Contains a description of the Alliance Series software and how to use it, plus a brief installation guide.
Alliance Release Document: Includes the latest information regarding the release.

The Alliance Series Evaluation Kit includes our advanced place and route software that uses SMARTguide, a powerful iterative design capability, and SMARTspecs, a very robust timing constraint language. The kit supports our XC4000E/X family, our XC3x00A/L family, or XC5200 family, and our new Spartan family of FPGAs, as well as our XC9500 CPLD family.

Ordering

Evaluation Kits are licensed for a period of up to 90 days and can be ordered through your local Xilinx sales representative or distributor. Alliance Series Evaluation Kit PC or Workstation-DS-ALI-EVAL

Once you receive an Evaluation Kit, it needs to be licensed through the use of a softkey. A softkey can be requested either from your Xilinx sales office or by E-mail to eval@xilinx.com. A softkey will be returned to your via E-mail, along with instructions.

When you are ready to begin using Xilinx Series software, your local Xilinx Sales Representative will gladly assist you in making the transition from your evaluation kit to a fully comprehensive product.
