Overview

SmartTime Constraints Editor enables you to enter timing constraints for the design. Timing constraints represent the performance goals for your designs. Designer software uses timing constraints to guide the timing driven optimization tools in order to meet these goals. You must enter timing constraints to perform timing analysis.

Perform the following steps to apply timing constraints to your design using SmartTime Constraints Editor:

1. Specify the clock constraint.

2. Specify the input delay constraint.

3. Specify the output delay constraint.
