Xilinx established an R & D, Engineering, Manufacturing and Service facility in Dublin in 1994, which currently employs over 200 people in the design, production and distribution of logic devices for all markets outside the United States.  In addition to this Dublin provides customer service, information technology and human resource support to all Xilinx European operations. 

The Dublin facility operates as the hub for all business outside North America. The Irish high-tech engineering facility is responsible for engineering, research & development, IC design and customer orders replicating the activities of our parent company in San Jose.The resources and technology currently employed in Dublin offer unprecedented opportunities for staff to be at the leading edge of technology. 
The mission of Xilinx is to help our customers attain the fastest time to market and flexible product life cycle management through programmable logic solutions consisting of software, silicon and support.


R&D, Engineering, Manufacturing, Service

At Xilinx Ireland, major emphasis is being placed on strategic research & development including the expansion of Software & IP Development, IC Design and Product Engineering. 

Integrated Circuit Design Engineers develop CMOS FPGAs based on advanced silicon process technology. This includes IC circuit and logic design simulation, layout and device debug characterisation. Software and IP Development forms a core strategic element of the Company's business. Software Engineers carry out development of the CAE/CAD tools used to design the complex chips of the future. These tools allow our customers to integrate our silicon components into the precise system configurations which they require. Xilinx IP developers generate functional cores to allow customers to quickly complete their designs. 

Xilinx Ireland is achieving world-wide responsibility for the development and support of product families and the evaluation of new generations of Xilinx software. In addition, the company's engineers provide and deliver systems solutions in Information Technology.
