Reviewed Patent information. - Chas reviewed the patent information. 2. Reviewed minutes of the 03/15/2006 Meeting. Today's agenda should not have listed 1343 because we already had vote on it last week. Francoise asked what happened to the action item about assertions. Michael pointed out that Bassam already dealt with it. - Ralph/JimV ACCEPTED (unanimous) with noted discussion 3. Liaisons - Francoise reported that the SV-BC is working on a proposal for classes. They are changing some of the syntax to mark a class as virtual and pure? We don't have that property on a class at this point. Francoise thinks we should review passed items by other committees to see if they are going to effect the SV-CC. We could look at all of the resolved ones to see if there are any that effect to SV-CC. Francoise will take action to regularly review the list before our SV-CC meeting. - No one reported on other meetings 4. New business - Item 0755 vpiValueRange target should be range rather than distribution Francoise has reviewed and thinks that it is okay. We can now vote on it. - Item 1385 Please document compatibility issues between 1364 and 1800 VPI Chuck will be adding some of the known compatibility issues. There are several issues around arrays. Abi and Chuck have been discussing. Francoise said that we consciously decided to make a backwards compatibility issue because we had to do this to deal with all the new variable types. Abi thinks it will be difficult to migrate people with this problem. What is the definition of a backward compatibility issue? Chuck will post issues and suggest a set of possible solutions to get the ball rolling. Steve pointed out that you cannot talk about different versions of the spec within the current spec itself. - Problems with fork, named fork, begin, named begin and with new fork join types. Francoise described a number of issues. - Item 1395 unsized, packed dimensions in DPI import declarations Ralph thinks that there are three issues here. Presented the issues and there was a healthy discussion. Francoise and Chuck expressed their opinions. Motion to adjourn: JimV/Steve. Meeting ended 1:08pm EST. - Others? 5. Reviewed of items with proposals. 6. Review SV-CC items with proposals (Straw poll only): 7. Old Business 8.
