Doug, I reviewed 3115 again yesterday, and have a couple of comments.

1) I think you meant to leave "dpi_task_proto" in, rather than
"dpi_task_prototype".

2) I was refreshingly amused by seeing "clobber" show up in a
technical document. It'll be interesting to see if this gets
past those fixated with "correct usage." In reality, I believe
this has could now be considered a legitimate software engineering
(and possibly hardware engineering) term. Over 4000 examples show
up in a search of whatis.com, and the usage now even has its
own Wikipedia entry. I'm not suggesting you take it out, but it'll
be interesting to see if there is any kickback along the way.

Regards,
Jim Vellenga

Subject: [sv-cc] New Mantis #3115 added

Hi All,

I just uploaded Mantis #3115 which discusses the lifetime of formal
arguments in calls to DPI imports and exports. A proposal is attached
to the Mantis for ease-of-committee-processing. Hopefully this one will
be easy to pass in the next PAR.

Thanks,
Doug
