Cell-based ASICs

Atmel's Cell-based ASICs (CBICs) let you integrate all the functionality you need for a complete system on one IC. Building on an embedded ARM7TDMITM or AVR® core, you can include a wide range of bus-compatible peripherals, memory blocks (cache RAM, external RAM, ROM, EEPROM, FLASH), applications-specific functions, DSP and analog.

Application development tools (compilers, emulators, debuggers) are available to enable you to develop hardware and software in parallel.

Atmel CBICs optimize all aspects of your ASIC product cycle. These include silicon area (hence cost), operating speed, power consumption, time-to-market, and unit price in volume production.
