Reviewed Patent information. - Charles Dawson reviewed the patent information. 2. Reviewed minutes of the 05/10/2005 Meeting. - Ralph/Steve. ACCEPTED (unanimous) 3. Liaisons - Chas has sent to the Champions our XL spreadsheet with our ballot response. Committee asked to see. Chas forwarded. 4. New business - Item 526 JimV will put in a file with the entire proposal. - Item 480 Steve moves that we respond with: The proposed changes have merit but the scope is too large to establish consensus during the balloting period. We are referring this to be addressed in the next version of the standard. JimV seconds. PASSED (unanimous) - Frame incompatibility between 1364 and 1800. At the Champions meeting, Stu commented that we should have fixed Frames in 1364 to be compatible with 1800. The issue is in Item 485. Francoise thinks we could fix 1800 so that there would be no backwards incompatibility. Straw poll: Should we try to fix the incompatibility? YES (unanimous) Straw poll: Should we fix 1364 or 1800? 1800 only (unanimous) To do this we need to do the following: Change solid enclosure labeled frame on LHS into dotted unnamed enclosure with scope, task call, func call, and frame in it. Add vpiValid to the unnamed dotted enclosure on RHS. Doug/Steve. PASSED (unanimous) Chas to update proposal. Doug Moves that we change the proposal in 485 to remove note 7 which describes the (now nonexistent) incompatibility. Steve Seconds. PASSED (unanimous) - Item 734. JimV wanted to make sure the change in 712 is okay. Steve moves that we report to the Champions that we are okay with the changes in this area with the exception of the following typos: In the paragraph about the Postponed region, the "Observe" region should actually be the "Observed" region. In the NOTE attached to the paragraph about the Post-observed region, the spelling of "schcedule" should be corrected. In the paragraph after that, "Pre-Postponed" should be written as "Pre-postponed" instead for consistency with other regions that have prefixed names. I.e., don't capitalize the first "P" in the suffixed "postponed"? In the proposal for 712 Table 15-3 has been updated so that cbEndOfSimTime now points to the "Pre-Postponed" region, which should be "Pre-postponed". JimV seconds. ACCEPTED. Francoise remarked that we will need to check over this section carefully when the next draft comes out because of the many different changes in it. - Item 735 Should we include this change in the vpi_user.h and sv_vpi_user.h files? Friendly amendment to include similar change in vpi_user.h. Doug/Steve. PASSED (unanimous) Doug to update proposal. 5. Reviewed of items with proposals. Meeting ended at 1:12pm EDT. 6.
