Xilinx invented the FPGA in 1984 and has continued
to introduce new products at a rapid pace, keeping up with customer demands
for higher density, faster performance, and lower cost devices. Along the
way Xilinx has pioneered new architectural features and technologies, while
maintaining industry-leading device performance and user flexibility.
Xilinx's latest FPGA families are based on the proven XC4000 Series architecture. The XC4000X Series provides the features needed for densities of 30,000 to 250,000 system gates, while the Spartan Series provides the lowest-cost solution for up to 40,000 system gates. Both provide high speed, on-chip RAM, and extensive software support, including CORE solutions. |
